They were charging around Rs 300-Rs 500 for such number plates. Normally, HSRP only costs around Rs 250. We have not yet permitted anyone to sell HSRP number plates. Those fitted in the vehicles are duplicate one and all of these duplicate number plates will have to be replaced when it is made mandatory in the state,” an MVD official said.According to the official, the people should not buy such plates until the government order comes in this regard.“The High Security Registration Plates once implemented in the state, the distribution would be done by government agencies.
