New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted Indian naval personnel on the occassion of Navy Day.
"On Navy Day, greetings to all navy personnel and their families," Modi tweeted, attaching a video of the Indian Navy showing its prowess in the sea.

Navy Day is celebrated annually on December 4 to celebrate the Indian Navy's achievements and commemorate the sacrifices made by the personnel.
Award-winning Innovations by Indian Navy on Display in Delhi
On Navy Day on Monday, award-winning innovations by the force have been put on display at the "Innovation Pavilion" at the Navy House in New Delhi.
These include the innovations by Indian Naval Ships 'Kuthar' and 'Vikramaditya', which have been selected as the winner and runner-up respectively in the 'Operational Units' category.

The innovations by the Weapons Electronic Systems Engineering Establishment (WESEE) and Naval Aircraft Yard, Kochi were selected as the winner and runner-up respectively in the 'Shore Establishments' category.
At least 20 innovations have been shortlisted from those submitted by units and establishments across the Navy for central evaluation, a Defence Ministry statement said.
They range from innovative repairs to complex system modules to development of new techniques that would save money, time and manpower, it added.

"As a mark of recognition, the shortlisted initiatives have been showcased to the invited dignitaries on the Navy Day," the statement said.
The Navy presents the 'CNS Rolling Trophy for Innovation' to selected innovations on methods adopted by units to overcome constraints and to improve efficiency at their work areas.

Innovations are evolved by Navy personnel when they are on a warship in the high seas on long missions where many challenges crop up.
