PSG Tech rolls back hike in hostel fee

COIMBATORE: The management of the PSG College of Technology decided to roll back the hike in hostel fee a day after students staged a violent protest. Hundreds of hostel inmates had gathered outside the warden’s room in protest against the hike on Thursday evening. They damaged furniture, books and bicycles, forcing the police to intervene.L Gopalakrishnan, the college’s managing trustee, told reporters on Friday, “Since the students do not want WiFi facility, we have decided not to collect `3,500 for that. Earlier, many students had observed that the Internet speed was good.”
