Mumbai: In a major Relief to self styled godwoman Radhe Maa, the Bombay High Court has granted her interim protection from arrest for 2 weeks but she will have to appear before the police on the 19th and 16th of August.

On Friday, she was questioned by police in connection to a dowry harassment case. An FIR was registered against the self-styled godwoman, for allegedly instigating a woman's in-laws to harass her for dowry.

A Mumbai sessions court on Thursday rejected self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa anticipatory bail application after being named in a domestic violence and dowry harassment case.

The Maharashtra Charity Commissioner has also initiated an inquiry into Radhe Maa's charitable trust after a complaint was filed to look into the legality of the trust. A complaint has also been filed with the Income Tax department seeking a probe on her source of income.

A new complaint was also filed at the suburban Borivali police station on Wednesday against her alleging her involvement in promoting superstition. Advocate Ashok Rajput who filed the complaint has demanded that Radhe Maa should be booked under the stringent Anti-Superstition Law not only for spreading superstition but also for practising "indecent behaviour".

She also faces allegation of provoking a family of four in Kutch in Gujarat to commit suicide. A lawyer has filed a PIL in court seeking an FIR against Radhe Maa for spreading obscenity, hurting religious sentiments and cheating people in the name of religion.
