Kota: Two days after a BJP MLA from Kota was suspended for allegedly abusing a Chief Medical Officer, the officer has withdrawn his application for voluntary retirement.

Kota's CMO RN Yadav took back his resignation after the Health Minister assured him of safety for his family.

The Health Minister has also assured yadav of qucik action against BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal, who allegedly threatened and abused the officer for refusing to transfer a nurse.

Police had registered a FIR on Thursday evening against Gunjal under various sections of IPC for intimidating and threatening the officer over phone.
