KOCHI: Rineesh, who allegedly killed his 38-year-old woman companion by slitting her throat, has been remanded in judicial custody by the Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court, on Friday. Later, he was sent to the Kakkanad sub-jail.According to the North police, who are investigating the case, Rineesh had been planning the murder for quite a few days and had purchased a knife from a shop at Janatha, three days ago. According to police sources, the accused had decided to do away with her as he suspected her of having a relationship with another person. They had been living together for the past eight years and have a child.The police said no further details have come out. He will be taken into police custody after two days. The knife and the helmet, which were found from the crime spot, are in police custody.
