BANGALORE: In a broad daylight robbery, a gang of six men attacked four persons, who were in a car, and made away with Rs32 lakh on Tuesday.
The incident took place at K C Das Sweets junction on Fifth Main, HSR Layout sixth sector, between 11.45 am and 12 pm .The money belonged to one Ramaraj, the proprietor of Shiva Traders which deals with wholesale distribution of ITC Cigarettes in the city and outskirts.

According to the police, Ramaraj's son Shankar was carrying Rs32 lakh in cash in a car. He was accompanied by his driver Rajashekhar and Naveen and Laxman, staff from their office.

The police said that they had left their office at Mangammana Palya, which is about oneandahalf kilometres from the place of incident and reached the junction within 10 minutes.

The police suspect that the miscreants might have followed them from the place where they started. "The persons who knew about their business might have done this. There are various clues about them and they will be nabbed soon," the police said.

Meanwhile, special teams have been formed to crack the case. Finger print experts and sniffer squad were pressed into service to gather information about the accused.
