Shah Panel visits Paradip Port

PARADIP: The Shah Commission, except Justice M B Shah, on Tuesday visited the Paradip Port to inquire into allegation of illegal mining and violation of norms as far as export of minerals is concerned.   The members interacted with the port officials and verified certain documents to probe into details of mineral exports through the major port. Later, a meeting was held where the members discussed allegations of iron ore smuggling from the port.PPT Deputy Chairman A C Bose said the Commission members inquired about the procedures of mineral export from the port and all records in this regard were provided to them.
