HYDERABAD: As is his wont, handlooms and textiles minister P Shankar Rao has kicked up another controversy by dashing off a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi making serious allegations against chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.Rao, in his letter, said though he had been repeatedly requesting the chief minister to provide him enough security in the wake of threatening calls that he was receiving, no action was taken in this regard so far.He said the chief minister’s reluctance to provide him adequate security gave room for suspicion that the latter was not liking his legal battle against YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Rao said he was wondering if the chief minister did not like him to remain faithful to the high command. The minister also said the chief minister had given directions to the officials not to heed his instructions and the latter was humiliating him. He said it was unfortunate the CM was acting this way when he was fighting against those who were causing damage to Congress.
