New Delhi: A Pakistani and a Bangladeshi national, suspected to be spying for the ISI, were arrested in south Delhi and police claimed to have recovered sensitive defence-related documents from them.

Mohd Muzaffar Khan, a resident of Karachi, and his accomplice Ali Rehman Jalal, were nabbed by Delhi Police's Special Cell on Thursday evening in the Madanpur Khadar area where they were staying for the past nine months.

Jalal landed in the police net when he was waiting for Khan near Madanpur Khadar bridge to pass over the documents. On interrogation, he disclosed that he was working for Khan, after which a raid was conducted at his hideout and he was arrested.

An envelope containing restricted information related to the military and a pencil sketch of vital installations in the cantonment area were seized from Jalal, said, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar.

Khan, a diploma holder in electrial engineering, was trained by the ISI to understand the structure of the Army, ranks, signs and formations. He was carrying a Pakistani passport, Kumar added.

He entered India in April last year through the Attari border from where he went to Nagpur and stayed for six months with his aunt. He then visited Bangladesh and came into contact with Jalal.

An ATM card of a Pakistani bank, a fake Indian driving license and a PAN card, a Bangladeshi passport and a diary with the telephone numbers of several ISI officials were also seized from Khan's possession.
