A 39-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residence in Sanjay Nagar area in Ghaziabad, police said on Thursday. Satish Kumar, who originally belonged to Kerala, was upset over poor financial condition of the family and was under depression for the past few months, they said.

He was working at a factory in Bulandshahr industrial area and was living with his family in the Mansi Vihar Colony. "Satish's body was found hanging from the ceiling fan by the family members this morning. We have come to know that he was under depression over poor financial condition of his family," a police officer said. The cause behind him taking the extreme step is being probed, he added.
