Melbourne: An Australian woman was run over by her own car twice, in a strange case and had to be rushed to hospital.
The 37-year-old woman, who was not identified by the police, forgot to pull the handbrake as she got down from a car. The car started rolling and knocked her down, leaving her unable to move, AAP reported.
Paramedic Craig Brooks, who rushed to the spot on an SOS, said the woman told him "that the car had run over her lower abdomen and legs before crossing the street away from her driveway."
The woman's agonies were far from over as the car after hitting a fence on the other side of the road, bounced back and ran over her again.
The unfortunate driver from the southern side of Melbourne was taken to a hospital with serious internal bleeding. As paramedics rushed her to intensive care in the Alfred hospital, her condition was reported to be serious but stable.
"She was an incredibly lucky lady despite the unlucky chain of events," Brooks said.
