Even though she has appeared in several films, we still remember actress Ritu Shivpuri for Aankhen that was released over a decade ago. Daughter of popular actors Sudha and Om Shivpuri, Ritu has made her comeback with Anil Kapoor’s TV series 24 season 2. But what’s really hard to ignore is how she has transformed over the years. Best remembered for the popular track O laal duppatey wali, Ritu has been on a break from the showbiz industry. After gaining huge recognition for her film Aankhen, she was seen in a few more Bollywood projects, the latest being Hadh Kar Di Apne.
In Hadh Kar Di Apne, which featured Govinda and Rani in key roles, Ritu was seen in a supporting role.
She also made headlines recently for Puneet Issar’s He-Man.
After a 10-year-long sabbatical, the actress is back. This time, she will be seen in 24 in a prominent role. The second season of 24 is not just darker, but also a lot more brooding in mood.
For the uninitiated, the actress will be seen essaying the role of a forensic officer, Dr Sunny at the Anti Terrorist Unit (ATU). She will work with the character of Anil Kapoor (Jai Singh Rathod) in battling a national threat.
