Ananya Panday’s friendship with Shanaya Kapoor has stood the test of time. The two have been close since childhood and have had countless memorable moments together. Recently, Ananya shared that their go-to dance track is a classic featuring Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar.
Ananya Panday, during her chat with Ishq Tak, was asked about her go-to “bae” song. She fondly recalled dancing with her childhood friend Shanaya Kapoor to Sheila Ki Jawani from the film Tees Maar Khan. Ananya shared, “The one song that we will always dance to when it plays is Sheila Ki Jawani. It’s actually Shanaya’s favourite song.” Ananya Panday didn’t stop there. She went on to share that whenever Sheila Ki Jawani plays, she takes on the role of Akshay Kumar while Shanaya Kapoor transforms into Katrina Kaif as Sheila.
We all know Ananya Panday is close to Shanaya Kapoor and Suhana Khan. The trio makes it a point to cheer each other. Recently, they all came together to celebrate the premiere of Ananya’s new show, Call Me Bae, in Mumbai. Suhana Khan, who attended with her rumoured beau Agastya Nanda, and Shanaya Kapoor, who arrived solo, both made sure to show their support for Ananya.
Earlier, in an interview with Femina, Ananya Panday reflected on the bond she shares with her BFFs. The actress said, “For me, it’s my grounding source. It makes me feel normal. It makes me feel comfortable and easy. I can completely be myself; I don’t think anyone can understand you like your girlfriends do.”
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, Call Me Bae marks Ananya Panday’s OTT debut in the web series category. In the show that began streaming on September 6, the actress will be seen sharing screen space with Vir Das, Varun Sood, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur.
As for Ananya Panday’s upcoming projects, she is set to prove her versatility as an actress with her roles in CTRL and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.
