Mumbai: After garnering positive response to his erotic thriller 'Hate Story 3', director Vishal Pandya says he would stick to the genre and progress rather than treading new 'risky' themes in cinema.
Pandya had also directed the second part of the franchise, which too was a big success. And now, he is basking in all the appreciation coming his way after the release of the third film franchise, which stars Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah.
"Every director moves ahead sticking to one genre. So I feel I'm also one of those directors to progress with one particular genre. This is just my second film (and) to change the genre so soon is a risk for me and I don't want to do that. I want to establish my feet in such a way that people say 'there's no one better than him'," Pandya said at the success bash of the film here.
Pandya is elated and surprised by the audiences' response to the film, which was released on December 4.
He said: "I haven't been able to digest it till now. We were expecting a good response but the kind of response that we've received we are very happy. I haven't been able to come out of it."
Pandya feels that the film was a perfect mix of content and eroticism. He said: “For sure, there was content. But I will still try to ensure that this complaint (of having no content) is not there (in future films)”.
Pandya earlier shared that fourth instalment of the film is already in the making.
