Throughout the years, Karan Johar has been known for his pioneering collaborations with filmmakers from various regions, extending his support long before others. Since the debut of RRR, Karan has engaged in discussions with NTR Jr. on multiple topics, including the possibility of casting him as Dev in Brahmastra 2. The duo is set to team up for ‘Devara’, with Karan presenting the directorial venture by Kortala Siva in Hindi. Additionally, as per a recent report, Karan Johar has relinquished a title for NTR Jr.
Insiders familiar with the matter have revealed to the entertainment portal PinkVilla that the inaugural collaboration between Prashanth Neel and NTR Jr. is provisionally named ‘Dragon.’ The source divulged, “While they got the title Dragon in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the same was registered with Karan Johar in Hindi. It took a simple two-minute conversation with Karan for him to part ways with the title for Neel and NTR.”
The insider also revealed that Karan Johar’s decision to part with the title ‘Dragon’ is a gesture of goodwill, with no financial transactions involved, despite the title holding significant value worth millions. For those unfamiliar, the initial title for Brahmastra in 2014 was ‘Dragon.’ As the narrative of the film progressed, the title was altered to align more closely with the essence of the story as the creators opted for a more grounded approach.
Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film is anticipated to be NTR Jr’s 31st project, and the production team is currently finalizing the shooting schedules. The director is simultaneously dedicated to filming ‘Salaar 2’ featuring Prabhas in the lead role. This NTR – Neel collaboration, backed by Mythri Productions, is highly anticipated as one of the most thrilling offerings from the Telugu Film Industry. Stay connected with Pinkvilla for forthcoming updates on the shooting schedule of NTR’s 31st film.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR has been busy filming Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham. Despite a hectic shooting schedule, the RRR star took a break from work and he returned to Hyderabad to cast his vote in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections on May 13. With a few free days in his schedule, it looks like the actor plans to celebrate his birthday abroad. NTR, who will turn 41 on May 20, was recently spotted at Hyderabad airport with his wife, Pranathi Nandamuri. The couple wore matching casual black outfits as they headed to an undisclosed location. Before entering the airport premises, the Janatha Garage star acknowledged paparazzi’s presence, as he smiled, waved towards them and shook hands with the photographer.
