Justin Bieber has reportedly been pulling away from his inner circle after the arrest of his former mentor, Sean Diddy Combs. The 30-year-old singer, who skyrocketed to fame as a teenager, first connected with Diddy through Usher when he was still new to the music industry. Back then, Bieber was just a young artist and Diddy, already an established name, stepped in to mentor him. The bond between Bieber and P Diddy grew over the years, with the rapper acting as a mentor to Bieber during his early music career. Now, there are reports that Justin Bieber no longer trusts those who were once close to him, in the aftermath of P Diddy’s arrest.
“Family members are concerned about Justin, a source revealed to Page Six.
“It’s unclear if Diddy took advantage of Justin back then, especially since his family was always close by, and his manager Scooter Braun genuinely cared about him. He was a teenager, the biggest pop star in the world. Everyone was worried about him, and we didn’t know if he would survive it. People took advantage of every opportunity they had with him. Justin’s done some outrageous things, and now he’s pushed people away. He just doesn’t trust them anymore,” the insider added.
Since Sean Diddy Combs’ arrest in September, old videos of Bieber and the rapper have re-emerged. In one clip from when Bieber was 15, Diddy said, “He’s having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. For the next 48 hours, he’s with me and we’re gonna go full crazy.”
The duo also made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2011. During the interview, Sean Diddy Combs commented, “He knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff (Diddy) on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.”
Sean Diddy Combs is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all allegations. He remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, with his trial set to start in May 2025.
