Mammootty’s recent film in the horror flick Bramayugam has proven to be a resounding success, enthralling audiences and commanding the box office. With its exceptional direction and commendable performances, the film has surpassed the remarkable milestone of Rs 16.96 crore in its debut week.

Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the horror drama Bramayugam has garnered praise for its captivating storyline. Recent reports reveal that the film has delivered impressive box office numbers in Kerala, greatly bolstering its overall success. Within its first six days, Bramayugam accumulated an estimated net collection of Rs 15.75 crore across India, with an additional Rs 1.20 crore on its seventh day for all languages.

On its seventh day, Bramayugam continued to hold a significant presence in theatres, boasting a noteworthy 21.45 per cent occupancy rate for Malayalam screenings. The occupancy breakdown throughout the day showcased morning shows at 9.46%, afternoon shows at 17.96 per cent, evening shows at 25.58 per cent and particularly impressive night shows at 32.79 per cent.

Bramayugam tells a story of suspense and supernatural mystery, starring Mammootty and Arjun Ashokan in prominent roles. The narrative follows Arjun Ashokan’s character as he seeks sanctuary in Mammootty’s mansion after the enigmatic murder of a friend, only to unravel the haunting secrets concealed within the premises. The film’s triumph can be credited to its captivating storyline and the outstanding performances delivered by the cast.

Rahul Sadasivan’s third feature film has garnered acclaim for its skilful intertwining of caste, feudalism, bodily possession and witchcraft, as well as for casting the esteemed Mammootty in a malevolent role. However, it’s the haunting black-and-white cinematography that has particularly captured attention.
