Priyanka Chopra’s mom Madhu Chopra recently opened up on how she looks at the film fraternity. The actress shared how she perceives certain actors in BTown. Right from calling Salman Khan a ‘gentleman’ to calling Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar ‘businessmen’, here’s what she has shared in a new interview.
In an interview with Filmygyan, Priyanka’s mother was asked about several film industry figures. She called Salman Khan a ‘gentleman’, and also stated that Amitabh Bachchan is ‘the most revered person in the industry’. Speaking of Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, Madhu called them both ‘businessmen’.
In the same interview, she has described Ranveer Singh as a ‘fun person’, and added that Alia Bhatt has a ‘soothing’ personality. She shared that she loves Ranbir Kapoor and added that “As a person, I know him to be a very good son.”
Priyanka has previously worked with Ranveer in Bajirao Mastani and with Ranbir in Anjaana Anjaani and Barfi. Her upcoming project, the long-delayed road trip film Jee Le Zaraa, will see her teaming up with Alia. Additionally, she has also collaborated with Akshay on Ajnabee and starred alongside SRK in both Don films.
Madhu Chopra also shared about meeting Nick Jonas for the first time. She said, “When he came to India and met me, he took me to lunch when Priyanka was not around. Nick asked me what kind of boy I would want for Priyanka. So, I listed all the qualities, and he simply took my hand and said, ‘I am that guy. Can I be that person? I promise that nothing from your list will be left unchecked’.” Madhu Chopra was impressed by his words and grew fond of him instantly.
Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in December 2018 and the couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas via surrogacy in January 2022. PeeCee was speaking to Quint Neon when she was asked how she balances her work and motherhood duties. The actress shared that even she was raised by a working woman and added that it has greatly helped her take care of Malti.
