In January, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Setu, India’s largest sea link bridge, which is now accessible to the public. The 22-odd km bridge connects Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, its satellite city. Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who frequently travels between Mumbai and Hyderabad for work, has shared her thoughts on it. Speaking to ANI, Rashmika shared her excitement about the bridge, calling it a game-changer for travel. She marvelled at how a two-hour journey can now be completed in just 20 minutes, making travel between various cities effortless.
She said, “The journey of two hours can be done in 20 minutes. As in, you wouldn’t even believe it! Who have thought something like this was possible. Aj Navi Mumbai se Mumbai tak, Goa se Mumbai tak Aur Bangalore se Mumbai tak – all the journeys have been made so easy. And with such amazing infrastructure! It makes me proud.”

Rashmika also praised India’s progress and the smart decisions made by the youth, and said that she is optimistic about the country’s future. “Ab toh India ne naa Sunna bandh kar diya hai. They’re not willing for it anymore. So, I think now, at least, India is not stopping anywhere. Nobody is saying it’s not possible in India or you know, it’s impossible for India. It’s freaking brilliant in the last 10 years how the country has grown. The infrastructure, the plan in our country, the road planning – it is just brilliant – I think now it’s our time! I just got to know that it’s all done in seven years and it’s 20 km. It’s amazing! Look at it. I am speechless,” she added.
With the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 happening in the country at the moment, Rashmika urged the young generation to vote responsibly. She said, “The young generation – the young India – is growing at such fast speed. India is the smartest country, I would like to say! The young Bharatiya have to vote and they’re being very responsible now and it’s no more that they’re getting influenced by whatever you say. People are actually seeing, people are being very responsible and are being very smart about it. I think they are headed in the right direction.”
Earlier this week, Rashmika confirmed that is starring in Salman Khan and A.R. Murugadoss’ action film Sikandar. The actress shared a story on her Instagram with the caption: “You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is… Sikandar. I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of Sikandar.”
