Sunny Kaushal, known for his role in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, has been in news owing to dating rumours with his former co-star Sharvari Wagh. In a recent interview, Sunny addressed the speculation and the fan-driven romance rumours, revealing that he once believed Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were a real couple due to his childhood fascination with shipping celebrity pairs.
During his chat with Zoom, Sunny reflected on how “it’s sweet to see people ship co-actors and friends together.” He shared that, as a child, he was convinced stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were in real-life relationships. He said, “Ya, we have grown up doing that. I think for the longest time I felt that they’re… like, when you’re a kid you don’t know, they’re real life couples.”
Sunny found it funny to now experience the same fan-driven excitement and views it as a playful way for fans to show their love. He confirmed he’s single and laughed off the rumours about dating Sharvari, saying they simply laughed about it. Sunny and Sharvari often support each other’s projects on social media. Recently, Sunny gave a shoutout to Sharvari’s upcoming film Vedaa, while she applauded his performance in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba on Instagram Stories.
Earlier, Sunny Kaushal, while addressing their dating rumours, told News18 Showsha, “I have told my parents long back to not look at me as though I am the next in line. It doesn’t bother me when my personal life makes headlines. It doesn’t hamper our equation at all because you understand that at the end of the day, they are just news headlines. It would be stupid of us to make it a reality and take it very seriously.”
While the actors never really admitted to dating each other, actor Ranveer Singh seemingly confirmed their relationship. In an episode of Koffee with Karan, Ranveer was asked with whom Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal would go on a double date. He was quick to take Sunny and Sharvari’s names.
