While fans are eagerly waiting for it, Ahimsa Entertainment, the film’s distributor in the UK has now revealed that Leo is ‘intensely raw and violent’. Recently, Ahimsa Entertainment took to its X account and revealed that a 15+ version of Leo will be released in the UK with ‘unnoticeable changes’. Appreciating the Vijay starrer, it further mentioned that the film has several violent or ‘gory scenes’ and added that therefore, it is not meant for the ‘faint-hearted’.

“LEO is intense. With strong violence and detailed gory scenes that ended up being more graphic than even we anticipated, it’s not for the faint-hearted. Although we targeted a 15+ rating for LEO, the BBFC gave it an 18+, meaning only those aged 18 and up can see it in cinemas. This unfortunately excludes younger students between the ages of 15-17,” the distributor’s post read.

Leo has been co-written by Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

Leo will hit theatres in India on October 19.
