Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Jawan proved his status as the reigning Baadshah Of Bollywood after pulling his Pathaan comeback crowd to theaters once again. While King Khan had his well-established romantic formula in place for many of his previous films, Jawan explored his vision wider. With the Tamil action director Atlee helming the project, the superstar added a touch of South Indian nuances of rowdiness to garner a mass audience and the idea worked out well for him. Jawan has minted over Rs 1000 crore worldwide, making it a smash-hit actioner just like his Pathaan outing. Now, there’s good news for those who couldn’t watch the action-thriller flick in theatres. It seems Jawan is likely to begin streaming on the OTT giant Netflix soon.

The Atlee directorial showcased Shah Rukh Khan in a plethora of shades, be it a godly vigilante, a dandyish officer, or an utter sweetheart. The superstar will soon celebrate his 58th birthday on Thursday, November 2. As a countdown to the special occasion, Netflix has dropped some major hints regarding Jawan’s release date on the OTT platform. Six days before D-Day, the streaming site began a countdown for “SRK’s Janamdin” indicating they have a big announcement in place.

Although details of the announcement remain unknown, it is speculated they might release Jawan on Netflix on his birthday. If not, they’re likely to surprise fans by confirming its OTT release date. It is important to note Netflix has neither denied nor addressed the ongoing speculation yet. The official release date of Jawan on the OTT platform can only be confirmed after the streamer issues an official statement.

Featuring Shah Rukh Khan as the main protagonist, Jawan is a high-octane action flick revolving around the life of a man driven by a personal vendetta to eradicate corruption from society. The lead shuffled from a range of personas from witty to dangerous as the movie progresses. SRK draws the crowd to solve what relation his bandaged and masked warrior liberating a village has to the gruff bald man keeping people hostage in Mumbai’s metro. In addition to this, he also has a soft tone as a prison warden holding out hopes for a second chance in love.

Besides SRK, the movie stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra in supporting roles while actress Deepika Padukone makes a fierce cameo.
