There is hardly any place in this country where you cannot find a fan of MS Dhoni. The former India captain bid adieu to international cricket in 2020. His participation is now limited to the Indian Premier League (IPL) but that has hardly impacted his crazy fandom. Dhoni is someone who loves to stay away from the limelight.
That’s precisely why whenever any content related to the legendary skipper surfaces on social media, it becomes an instant hit. One such video has now gone viral on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, where a fan can be heard expressing his adoration for Dhoni during a security check at an airport.
Fan : Mahi bhai I love you ❤Thala : Smiles ????@msdhoni #MSDhoni pic.twitter.com/W6SXlb6E1r— FAN???? (@KattarDhoni) September 29, 2023
In the footage, MS Dhoni can be spotted in a white polo which he paired with black denims. He rounded off his look with uber-cool black sunglasses.
Dhoni was passing through the security check when someone was heard shouting, “Mahi bhai, I love you.” The initial appeal failed to catch the attention of the Chennai Super Kings captain. The fan was in no mood to give up. He shouted Dhoni’s name again.
Dhoni was right beside the metal detector when he first got to hear the fan. Dhoni reacted in the best way possible, flashing a hearty smile. Before the video ends, the seemingly excited person can be heard saying, “Haanth kaanp rahe hain mera ekdum (My hands are shaking).”
After capping off his decorated international career, MS Dhoni has featured in four editions of the IPL and led CSK to secure the title two times in 2021 and 2023. With a total of five IPL trophies, Dhoni is currently the joint-most successful captain in the history of the franchise tournament, along with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.
The CSK skipper played the entire IPL 2023 campaign with a knee injury, which forced him to bat down in the order. Dhoni skipped no match and assisted the side with superb captaincy from behind the stumps. After the competition was wrapped up, Dhoni travelled to Mumbai, seeking medical attention for his injured knee. The 42-year-old underwent surgery in Mumbai and is now raring to go for another IPL title.
