The Delhi govt had earlier this year made the Aadhar card compulsory for accessing various services.
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit asking why her government had made enrollment of Aadhar card mandatory.
The notice was issued in response to a writ petition seeking Aadhar be made "additional" ID proof and not as the sole proof.
The Delhi government had earlier this year made the Aadhar card compulsory for accessing various services provided by Delhi government like marriage registration, property registration and issuance of domicile certificate.
