Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) teams are visiting institutes around the country, engaging with heads of institutions to change the perception of people towards the Sangh. The latest stop in their expedition is the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
As per a report in the Economic Times, the RSS team called on IIM-B director Prof Sushil Vachani, to 'understand' the activities of the institute better and apprise it of the Sangh's social work. The team that met the IIM director was led by RSS Akhil Bhartiya Sampark Pramukh Aniruddha Deshpande.
Deshpande along with a few other members met the IIM Bangalore director to know about the institute and its activities and apprise them of the activities of the RSS as a social organisation. He also added that the trip did not have any motive behind it and it's a usual practice for them to meet eminent people and also engage with educational institutions.
RSS teams have been visiting other institutes as well and have been engaging with them to apprise it of their activities as a social organisation. Deshpande had been IIT Delhi in 2015 and has been engaging with Vice Chancellors from different universities.
The vision behind such visits is to "correct the narrative" built around the Sangh, and to work towards a more 'fair' projection of its activities.
