Apple has refreshed the MacBook Air lineup with the new M3 silicone earlier this month which effectively means an end to the old standard MacBook Air lineup for the company.
If you have glanced at the Apple website recently, you will see that all the MacBook Air models now feature the notch that wasn’t available with the older models, especially the M1-powered Mac Airs. It is the biggest change that Apple has offered for the lineup, and it has certainly divided opinions, especially with a notched screen.
The new models also bring the MacBook Air to a higher price range, but it is another big feather in the cap of Apple that now has all its Macs powered by M-series processors. Apple has clearly felt the need to increase the design to refresh the models, and also add new screen sizes to the Air lineup, which effectively allows the brand to command more for these new Macs.
At the time of writing, Apple has two 13-inch models, powered by an M2 and M3 silicone, respectively. The big 15-inch model also uses the new M3 processor. The fresh updates mean you can now buy the entry-level MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for a starting price of Rs 99,900, going up to Rs 1,34,900 if you pick up the new Mac Air 15-inch model with 8GB RAM as well. So, if you are in the market for any of these new Mac Airs, get ready to shell out more for the new design, new hardware and Apple premiumness.
Having said that, if you are in markets like India, you can still pick up the older M1 Mac Airs through various online channels and rest assured, the company will fulfill its service and support.
