Cupertino-based giant Apple is rumoured to launch a slew of products this year ? from new and updated MacBook Pro models with Apple?s in-house silicon chips, to iPad Pro with mini-LED display, to AirPods 3, to its long-rumoured AirTags item trackers, among other things. Now, it is being rumoured that the company may hold its first event of the year as soon as this month. Multiple tipsters online have said that an Apple event will be organised on March 23, where the company could possibly reveal its smart item trackers, AirPods 3, or an updated iPad Pro.
Earlier, it was being reported that an Apple event will be organised on March 16. This report was later shunned by Bloomberg?s Mark Gurman, who reports on Apple developments. Gurman, in a tweet, had said that Apple will not hold an event on March 16 and that Apple AirTags won?t be announced on that day. About two weeks after Gurman?s update of an Apple event not taking place on March 16, known tipster Jon Prosser, along with another leaker who goes by the name Kang, have hinted that Apple will hold an event on March 23.

Now, Apple holding an event in March may come as a surprising development for some, as the company traditionally holds an event in June (WWDC) and an event in fall for the iPhone launch. Last year, Apple organised three events ? Apple Watch and iPad Air launch in September, Apple iPhone 12 launch in October, and the event to launch M1-powered Mac computers in November. The company holds Spring events too, with the last one being in 2019, where Apple solely talked about its services like Apple News+, Apple Card, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV+. In March 2018, Apple dedicated the March event to announce an education-focused iPad.
Now, since there are reports that Apple will carry on with the Spring event this year, there are a slew of products that can be expected to be launched on March 23. Given that Spring has more often than not been used to announce new iPad devices, it is expected that Apple may launch the rumoured iPad Pro with a mini-LED display. Reports earlier have also suggested that the mini-LED iPad Pro will be launched in early 2021. It is being reported that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model this year will be the first iPad to come with a mini-LED display.
Following the launch of the AirPods Max over-the-ear headphones in December, Apple is reported to update the rest of the AirPods lineup in 2021. A new second generation AirPods Pro are rumoured to be on the way as soon as April and Apple is also rumoured to launch new and updated entry level AirPods. The AirPods 3 are said to have a similar design to the AirPods Pro.
AirTags, Apple?s rumoured item trackers are also said to finally debut in early 2021. Now, as mentioned above, Bloomberg?s reporter has said that Apple AirTags won?t be announced at the March event, if the company goes ahead with it. However, tipster Jon Prosser has given a contradictory update, saying that the AirTags are on schedule for a March 2021 launch.
