Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to the US tech hub Silicon Valley. Modi visited Facebook's headquarters and answered questions from some of Facebook's 1.5 billion users at a town hall.
Speaking in Hindi, Modi answered a number of questions on Make in India, social media, women empowerment and his mother.
After Facebook, Modi visited Google's headquarters where he was taken around by Sundar Pichai and shown demos of cutting-edge Google technology including Project Iris, Street View and Google Earth. The Prime Minister also attended the Code for India event at the Google office.
The PM attended the Roundtable on Renewable energy hosted by Stanford University and also addressed the India-US StartUp Konnect where he announced the launch of the Bharat Fund – which stands not just for India, but also for "Better Health, Agriculture, Renewables and Technology."
The Prime Minister will later address an event at the San Jose Convention Center that 18,000 people are expected to attend.
