Many inspiring stories on the internet showcase young individuals shouldering responsibilities from an early age, often leading to successful ventures or businesses. In the current surge of entrepreneurship in India, many young people are stepping forward, sharing stories that leave a lasting impact, inspiring and motivating others. One such remarkable tale is that of a 21-year-old woman named Tapsi Upadhyay, widely recognised as the ‘Btech Pani Puri Wali’.
Upadhyay who started her business a few years back after completing her graduation in BTech is one of the leading entrepreneurs in the country. She has presently expanded her business across the country with several stalls in various cities. Taking her business idea to the next level, the 21-year-old Upadhyay recently purchased a Mahindra Thar and was spotted pulling her panipuri cart with the iconic vehicle. In no time, she caught the attention of Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra.
Anand Mahindra who seemed pretty impressed with Tapsi’s business idea took to his social media handle and shared a video. In the video, the young entrepreneur can be seen seated in her new Mahindra Thar pulling her panipuri cart on the road, while also sharing details of her stall with viewers. Along with the video, Mahindra also lauded her extraordinary efforts and wrote, “What are off-road vehicles meant to do? Help people go places they haven’t been able to before.. Help people explore the impossible.. And in particular we want OUR cars to help people Rise & live their dreams.. Now you know why I love this video….”

As soon as the industrialist shared his reaction, Tapsi who claimed to have faced criticism after her recent purchase expressed gratitude to him. She also shared that his appreciation helped her cope with the hate that she received online.
“I started my journey with a scooter to tow my cart. Later, I used a bike and then bought a Thar in November last year. I saved money and bought it on EMI. I don’t see any wrong in it. But people immediately started posting negative comments. I got so much hate online and was demotivated,” she said further mentioning Anand Mahindra.
“I was elated when he applauded my work by sharing my video. I am so grateful that such a famous personality took note of the work that I do and appreciated me for it,” she concluded.
