An 80-year-old Chinese man married a 23-year-old girl after they fell in love at an old age home. Yes! You read that right. As per a report, the incident happened in China’s Hebei Province, where the girl named Xiaofang, who worked at an old age home and there she met the love of her life in the elderly man named Mr Li. The duo quickly became close friends and eventually their love blossomed and they decided to get married. Despite the fact that her family didn’t approve of her relationship, she broke all ties with her parents to marry Li.
The report suggested that the girl was attracted to the man for his maturity, stability and wisdom. Li fell in love with Xiaofang due to her youthful vitality and kindness.
The couple recently exchanged vows in a simple ceremony. Neither of their family members was among the attendees, reported a Chinese website.
Several ‘love-filled’ pictures of the new couple surfaced on social media in which the duo could be seen striking romantic poses for the camera lens.
Xiaonfang and Li’s romantic story sparked a heated debate on social media, with several people accusing the girl of marrying an elderly man for money, while many commended her for her courage and love for Li.
The report also suggested that Xiaonfang was the breadwinner of the family and because of old age and health, Li completely relied on his pension money. Despite all odds, the girl decided to marry a man about her grandfather’s age, claiming that anything is possible with Li by her side.

This is not the first, the internet is full of unique wedding stories of an elderly man marrying a girl much younger than him.
Earlier, a similar case went viral from Madhya Pradesh, India where an 80-year-old man, Baluram tied the knot with a 34-year-old woman Sheela from Maharashtra. Baluram used to make funny reel videos on Instagram, which impressed Sheela and she decided to contact the man via social media. Eventually both of them fell in love and decided to tie the knot.
