Nowadays, content creators look for content on the streets, by asking the citizens some thought-provoking or interesting questions. A similar video is gaining a lot of attention online, where the man is asking the public a very simple question and they all have varying answers.
The video was posted on Instagram by an account called @poptrifia. It shows a content creator asking the question, “What is the oldest religion?” The man then meets several people at a public place, going around asking them the question. Some people take more than one guess but end up wrong, and a few give the correct answer.
The first man contemplates a little bit and then says “Judaism or Islam,” which turns out to be the wrong answer. He is given another chance a “collective guess”. He thinks out loud a little more, trying to connect the periods of each of the dominant faiths, and says “Buddhism,” which is revealed to be the incorrect answer.
Then the video records a young couple, where they are asked the same question. The man replies with “Buddhism” while the woman says “Greek Orthodox”. Then again, the man comes up with “Taoism”. Another man answers “Buddhism” and then says “Sikhism”. When a second couple is asked, the husband answers with “Hinduism” in the first go, which turns out to be the correct answer. Finally, another young man answers with “Hinduism” on his first attempt. The caption also states, “What is the oldest religion?”
Netizens reacted to the clip in the comments section. A user wrote, “Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) is as old as the universe!” A second user shared, “Proud to be Sanatani 5000+ year Civilization.” While a third user expressed, “I’m proud to be a Hindu.” A fourth user commented, “Hinduism is not a religion it’s a way of life.
