Travel enthusiasts need help to strike a balance between their jobs and time for travel. Many people leave their daily jobs to start a business to fulfil their travel goals. In a similar incident, a married couple left their daily jobs to travel the world. Both of them left their careers in the finance field.
38-year-old Tiffany Baker and 40-year-old Mark Baker left their jobs to set out on a journey to travel the world. They used to work in the finance field. In 2019, the couple decided to quit their jobs to travel. According to them, the couple wanted to live life on their terms. Tiffany and Mark also have their three daughters with them. Their 9-year-old daughter Giuletta, 7-year-old Penelope and 6-year-old Delia are all travelling with them. The couple took their daughters out of school so that they could travel freely without any time constraints. They started to teach their children at home.
Tiffany and Mark have already travelled to many countries. The couple went on a month-long sea voyage. They have travelled across 21 countries and 50 ports. They have visited Australia, Spain, Africa, and Singapore too.
According to Tiffany, their work could have been more balanced, and they did not like getting permission to go on a trip. Travelling without taking leave was not working out for them. Their daughters could not take leaves from school either. Talking about their decision, Tiffany said, “We left the job and took the children out of school so that we could fulfil our dreams. We teach the children at home ourselves. ”
To earn money, the couple are in the real-estate business and sells houses. They sold 50 houses in the last 5 years. She said, “People who bought the house also gave us the facility to rent their houses, due to which we started earning a good amount. From this, we earn about Rs 16 lakh per month.”
They are currently preparing for their next trip. In December of this year, they plan to travel to Prague, Czech Republic, to see the Christmas market. Then they will go to France and take a cruise. They will spend Rs 56 lakh on the journey. The total amount consists of food, drinks, and staying on the ship. When talking about finances, Mark said, “We worked hard continuously for 12 months to complete our foreign travel plan.”
