Delhi Men in Car Throw Water Balloons on Busy Roads Before Holi, Video Calls For Police's Action
Viral video shows two Delhi men in car throwing balloons at people on a busy road ahead of Holi, public demands police's intervention.

As Holi approaches, everyone is gearing up for the colourful festival, just as they do every year. However, a somewhat unsettling tradition precedes the festival—children taking to the streets and throwing water balloons at passersby on busy roads. While this is meant to be playful, the potential for people to get hurt, become irritated, or even lose balance on their two-wheelers is a serious concern that cannot be overlooked in the name of fun. Recently, in Delhi, it wasn’t children but two young men who decided to engage in this activity ahead of Holi, and their antics led to them going viral on the internet, just for their ill-advised fun.

In a video that has gone viral on ‘X,’ the two men are seen standing through the sunroof of a Kia car, gleefully launching water balloons at unsuspecting pedestrians on the footpath. The person recording the video managed to capture them in the act at several locations. Later in the clip, it becomes evident that the men had a bucket full of balloons, which they continued to hurl at people. They even noticed the person recording them and tried to retaliate by throwing a balloon at them.

This is extremely dangerous and could have injured someone badly.”

The comments section quickly filled with demands for police intervention, with many users tagging various Delhi Police handles on ‘X.’ One user wrote, “They are physically harassing people and specially women, please take strict actions against these molesters.” Another commented, “Please take strict action against such hooligans, this is no less than terror on the streets of Delhi and can lead to accidents.”

A third user injected a hint of humour, suggesting, “Carry stones in your bags. Tit for tat!”
