Every now and then, traffic police personnel find pedestrians violating road safety rules and defying basic norms, especially when it comes to crossing the road. While it is always suggested to take the marked crossroads, people end up taking the wrong way and disturbing the flow of traffic. To create awareness about this, the Pune Police shared an unusual sight of a cow, seemingly waiting for a red traffic light to turn green. In a bid to promote road safety, the police department shared the now-video with a hilarious caption that reads, “Attention ‘Guys’. Don’t moo-ve forward on a red light! #COWnqueringSafetyThreats #NoChaaraBasRulesKaSahara #RoadSafety.”
Captured at a traffic signal, the video shows cars, two-wheelers and other vehicles at a halt during a red light. However, the most interesting part is the cow standing calmly in line as it seems to waiting for the signal to turn green.

The video has sparked a conversation on the internet. Many flooded the comment section with diverse reactions. A user called out the instances of motorists colliding with cattle on the busy streets and wrote, “Did the cow move when the lights turned green? Since the clip doesn’t show that, it’s apparent that it did not. Please don’t create false equivalences and invest more into traffic management rather than spending time on @X doing time pass while the people of Pune suffer. Recently a bike rider succumbed to injuries after colliding with these cattle on the streets; did the traffic constable take action to remove these hazards from the street, or did you even think of passing on this information instead of dropping posts on X?”

Another user shared videos of two-wheeler riders driving on the wrong side of the road without a helmet.

One of the comments highlighted why strict action should be taken against those violating traffic rules. “Drivers in Pune don’t seem to be serious about traffic rules. Therefore, strict action should be taken against those who violate the rules. The license of habitual offenders should be cancelled. Only fines will not solve the problem,” he wrote.
