Kevin Pietersen is presently in India for his broadcast duties for the ongoing Indian Premier League.

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen is presently in India for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While the former cricketer has joined the commentator’s box of late, drawing attention for his comments and remarks on the latest developments in the tournament, Pietersen’s recent Instagram post has become another talking point on the internet. In a hilarious video on his Instagram handle, Pietersen showed off how his name was spelled wrongly on a cup of coffee he purchased from Starbucks.

Originally spelled ‘Kevin’, the cricket legend’s name was spelled as ‘Cabin’, which left him in splits. In the video, Kevin can be seen laughing out loud as he shows off the coffee cup. “Cabin returns! And thanks to Oakley for continuing their support for covering tired eyes as I travel between cities everyday here in Incredible India,” he wrote in the caption.

Social media users also reacted to the video and left funny comments. A user wrote, “It’s India, bro. Have to bare it barefoot. Same as vada pav,” while another wrote, “Cabin Pieterson.” “All hail lord Cabin Pietersen the king of Cabin island,” another commented.

It is pertinent to note that the former England captain often shares interesting videos on his social media handle. Besides that, when Pietersen arrived in India last month, he posted a video from the airport in a casual look. However, the video sparked a series of reactions from many, as internet users believed it was Hrithik Roshan instead of the cricket commentator. Donning a hoodie and shades, Pietersen’s video had an uncanny resemblance to Hrithik.

Kevin Pietersen praises Virat Kohli

Following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s maiden win in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League, Kevin Pietersen was seen heaping praise on Virat Kohli for his stellar performance, playing an innings of 77 runs off 49 balls.

Speaking from the commentator’s box, Pietersen mentioned that Kohli has turned Indian cricketers into athletes. “One of the things that everyone will remember and that will create the greatest memories as a player will be him finishing innings and being one of the greatest finishers of all time. One of the things that he has done for Indian cricket is turn Indian cricketers into athletes, out-and-out athletes, and while doing so, he’s not just talking the talk. He has walked the walk, and you can see that,” he said.
