Mark Zuckerberg Reveals Story Behind His Gold Chain. Reason Will Melt Your Heart

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been creating a buzz on social media with his distinctive gold chain, first sported in one of his Instagram videos. Since then, he has often been seen sporting the same gold chain and pendant, leading to widespread curiosity. However, the tech mogul has finally addressed this speculation during an interview on The Circuit with Emily Chang for Bloomberg Originals. Zuckerberg explained the sentimental value of his chosen accessory. Far from a mere fashion statement, the gold chain carries a deeply personal significance as it is engraved with prayer he sings for his daughters every night.

In the video shared by Chang on X, the journalist asked him, “Tell me about the necklace.” Zuckerberg responded, looking at and holding his chain, “Oh, this? This is something that I worked with a designer to make that has engraved on it the prayer that I sing to my daughters every night when I put them to bed. It’s a Jewish prayer called Mi Shebeirach. And it’s basically a prayer for health and courage. He continued, sharing that the prayer includes the words, “May we have the courage to make our lives a blessing.”

Zuckerberg further explained that he has sung the prayer to his daughters nearly every night since they were born. “And I just think that’s like, and I’ve sung it to them basically every night of their lives since they were born, unless I’m travelling out or something. But I try to be around for bedtime. That’s kind of my thing when I hang out with the kids. It’s just meaningful for me and our family,” he told Chang.
