In a recent viral video circulating on the internet, chaos erupted at a public meeting held in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. The event, organised by Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) Chief OP Rajbhar, took an unexpected turn when a portion of the stage collapsed. The rear section of the stage gave way suddenly, causing individuals standing behind Rajbhar to plummet. Astonishingly, the front part of the stage, where Rajbhar was seated, remained unaffected, allowing him to escape unharmed from the incident.
As the video unfolded, the stage, adorned for the event, appeared to be in perfect condition, with ministers positioned at the front alongside Rajbhar, while others stood at the back. However, within a matter of seconds, the individuals standing behind Rajbhar vanished from sight, descending rapidly as the stage crumbled beneath them, leading to an unexpected fall to the floor. The incident resulted in five injuries, but the unexpected nature of the mishap triggered lighthearted laughter online.

The online community quickly responded with memes and jokes, drawing parallels to the sudden fall. One analogy likened it to “backbenchers when the lecture starts,” while another humourously compared it to “background apps when you press Clear All.” A third quipped, “delete last row in a data table… press enter,” and a fourth made a connection to “Zuckerberg getting rid of middle management.” A fifth one playfully remarked, “Unique way of taking Ashirvad.”

Amidst the online humour, the SBSP, a constituent of the NDA alliance led by the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, witnessed Rajbhar initially contesting the recent assembly polls in collaboration with Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party. However, Rajbhar later shifted his allegiance and joined the NDA, signalling a political realignment.
