WWE’s latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired on February 9. The weekly wrestling event was hosted at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The show featured a couple of Elimination Chamber Qualifier Matches for the Men’s roster. AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre competed in the first qualifier of the night before Randy Orton took on Sami Zayn in the second one. The show also featured some women’s action as Bianca Belair took on Michin in another qualifier match. Fans got to witness some tag team action as DIY took on Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne competed in a number one contender’s match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship.
Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles – Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match
McIntyre started the action by sending Styles into the corner before landing a chop. Styles responded with a kick before landing his set of chops. After exchanging some blows, Styles sets up for the phenomenal forearm but was interrupted by Knight. This gave McIntyre an advantage to land the Claymore Kick for the victory.
Bianca Belair vs Michin – Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match
As the bell went, Belair looked for a KOD early as she got Michin up on her shoulders. However, Michin escaped and delivered a couple of kicks to her opponent’s head. Following some back-and-forth action, Michin landed a superplex on Belair before hitting the Eat Defeat. Belair later recovered as she countered Michin with a back body drop and finished her off with the KOD.
DIY vs Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne – Number One Contenders Match For Undisputed Tag Team Championship
Bate and Gargano start the action with the duo attempting to pin each other in the opening minutes. Ciampa then delivered a knee to Dunne’s head as we head into a commercial break. Ciampa resumed action with a clothesline to each Dunne and Bate in the corner before landing another on both of them at the same time. Later Dunne caught Gargano with a right hand before following up with the Bitter End for a victory.
Sami Zayn vs Randy Orton – Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match
Orton and Zayn locked up as the match began. The Viper hit his opponent with a shoulder tackle. Zayn soon countered with a moonsault onto Orton off the barricade. After a commercial break, Orton landed a power slam on Zayn and then landed the hanging DDT. As the Viper prepared for the RKO, Zayn went for a rollup before landing a Blue Thunder Bomb. Orton kicked out and then landed the RKO for a pinfall win while Zayn tried to use the ropes.
