The tragic death of Matthew Perry is still fresh in the minds of thousands of his fans, who are left devastated by the loss of this talented actor. Reportedly, before his untimely death, Athena Crosby was one of the last people to talk with the beloved ‘Friends’ star. In the latest, the model shared that the late actor was in good spirits the day before and was looking forward to living his life. Interestingly, she revealed that Matthew Perry was contemplating making his biopic. What’s more, he wanted his 17 Again Zac Efron to play him in the biopic.
Athena Crosby, told Entertainment Tonight, “He (Matthew Perry) said that he wanted to make a movie about his life, and he had worked with Zac Efron in the past on a movie, and he said that he wanted Zac Efron to play him as a younger version (of himself) and that he was going to ask him soon to do that.” She added that the late actor was simply looking forward to sharing more about his story and his addiction recovery and really advocating for that cause to help other people. Athena mentioned that Matthew was “optimistic and happy about everything that he wanted to do.”
Matthew Perry and Zac Efron appeared in the 2019 film 17 Again. Matthew played Mike O’Donnell in the film, a middle-aged father struggling with his career, two children, and an impending divorce. However, life takes a turn when he transforms back into his 17-year-old self (played by Zac Efron). He’s been given the opportunity to remake his entire life, but he gradually appreciates what he has.
Meanwhile, Athena Crosby was reportedly seen with Matthew Perry at Hotel Bel-Air around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. Speaking about the actor’s mood on his last days, she told the portal, “He was doing great. He is a very funny person, as most people know him to be, he’s goofy he’s silly. He was cracking jokes the whole time. He was speaking to me about some of the upcoming projects that he wanted to work on. He was very optimistic about the future.” She also added that Matthew was acknowledging the renewed public interest in him and wanted to utilise that and again make a mark in his acting career. The actor was discovered dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home the next day, after an apparent drowning.
