Tap the Get icon next to GamePigeon. This will install the app.
Return to Messages and tap the GamePigeon icon in the app drawer. GamePigeon will open and you can select the game you want to play.
How to Play
Understand the rules. In the GamePigeon version of Gomoku, you win by placing 5 of your markers (or stones) in a row before your opponent can. During each turn, you can place one of your stones on the board, then play passes to the next player.
Select Gomoku in GamePigeon. This will add an invitation to play Gomoku to a new message. You can add additional text, if you prefer. Once you're ready to send the invitation, tap the Send button.
Wait for your friend to accept the game invitation. If you go into your Gomoku game in GamePigeon, you'll see a notice that says "Waiting for opponent." You must wait for your friend to accept the invitation before you can make a move. Once your friend accepts the invitation, the player with the black markers will go first. If you're black markers, you can make your move as soon as your friend accepts the invite. If you have white markers, you'll have to wait for your friend to go first.
Place your stone on the board. During their turn, each player can place one stone on the board. The goal is to place 5 stones in a consecutive row, be it vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Send your move. Once your friend completes their move, you can play again. Remember to try and block your friend from placing stones in a row to keep them from winning. Keep sending moves back and forth until someone wins.
