BANGALORE: The Peenya police arrested four persons in connection with a murder case. The accused have been identified as Umesh Gowda (35) of Nandini Block, N Narasimhamurthy alias Vaale (30) of Goraguntepalya, C R Prashanth Kumar alias Prashanth (27) and Shivaraj alias Shiva (21), both from Nandidi Layout. The four persons are alleged of kidnapping and murdering Lingaraju alias Linge Gowda (35), a resident of Sidedahalli in Peenya. The police said that the victim had gone missing since September 30 and his elder brother Mahadevaiah had filed a missing case on October 9. During the investigation, the police got information that it was a kidnap case. Based on several clues, the police arrested the four. When interrogated, it was revealed that Umesh Gowda and Linge Gowda fought over trivial issues and it had turned into enmity. Hence, Umesh allegedly hatched a plot with his associates to kill Linge Gowda. As per the plan, they abducted him near Hesaraghatta Main Road on September 30 and murdered him at Devarahosahalli near Kyatasandra.
