New Delhi: One of the first persons the finance minister walked up to thank after passage of GST was Dr Manmohan Singh and there is strong reason for this.
They were Jairam Ramesh and Bevel Tankha. But why? To quote Ramesh: "It was Dr Manmohan Singh who advised me not to move it. I am just trying to highlight the difference between the former Prime Minister who is a statesman and the present Prime Minister who is a politician."
Manmohan singh said "It's a great move though there may be teething problems."
