Saffron Carpet Rolled Out For Modi to Mark Yoga Day
Gone are the days of fancy red carpets. Uttar Pradesh’s capital city has rolled out the saffron carpet as it sets to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi for International Yoga Day on Tuesday.

Lucknow: Gone are the days of fancy red carpets. Uttar Pradesh’s capital city has rolled out the saffron carpet as it sets to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi for International Yoga Day on Tuesday.

The event, to be held at Ramabai Sthal, will be attended by chief minister Yogi Adityanath too. Special saffron coloured yoga mats have been arranged for Modi, Yogi and 20 other people at a space right in front of the main stage at the venue. The saffron yoga mats carry an International Yoga Day logo with "Yoga for Harmony and Peace" slogan written on the mats.

The 51000-odd participants will also be given yoga mats too. The participants can choose to take the mats from their respective coordinators after two days.

The mega event will kick start at 6:30 am, for which participants will be allowed to enter as early as 3:00 am. The participants are expected to be ferried by 1000 buses to Ramabai Sthal near Amausi Airport. The security in the city has been beefed up and divided into seven stages, according to sources, with separate security arrangements at the Amausi airport, traffic routes, including the program site.

Twenty-six SP, 56 Additional SP, 143 CO, 229 Inspector, 1042 Sub-Inspectors, 168 Lady Sub Inspectors, 416 Head Constables, 3989 Constables have been deployed. Apart from these, 35 companies 1 Company PAC, Central Para Military Force, including 680 lady constables, 15 traffic inspectors, 217 Traffic Sub-Inspectors have been deployed.
