Train mishap averted

KOTTAYAM: A possible train mishap was averted on Monday morning after an alert lineman timely detected a crack on the railway line at Thannipalli near Piravam road.  The crack was detected by trackman K C Vallon ahead of the passing of the Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Mail,  sources said.  Train services were resumed after the Railway engineering staff carried out emergency repair works.
