New Delhi: Two senior staff members of ESI Hospital in Raja Garden in West Delhi have been arrested in connection with the attempt to rape and murder a lady resident doctor in September.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Sunil Kumar and Nursing Warden Hari Krishan have been arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and negligence and not in connection with attempt to rape or murder.
The doctor was allegedly gang-raped and left half dead in ESI hospital on September 20.
Following the incident, authorities in the state-run hospital had reported to the police that she was found unconscious and brutally injured near her hostel room.
The victim is still in coma at the Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute in West Delhi.
