DINDIGUL: Two cases were registered against five persons in Eriyodu here for allegedly usurping land and threatening the owners with weapons.Subbiah (40) of Marampadi in Vedasadur block owned three acres of land with five wells at Sonayakavundanpatti in the district. Six months ago, Singakutti alias Chinnakalai of Chottamayanur, his sons Balamurugan and Karuppiah, wife Letchumy and two others allegedly took over the land. They threatened Subbiah with weapons. Similarly, Kariappa Goundar of Sonayakavundanpatti also filed a complaint stating that Chinnakalai’s family forcibly took over his three-acre land.The Eriyodu Police are investigating both the complaints.
