Two live bombs were recovered and defused by the police in Sunderphalan village in Dumka district on Tuesday, police said. The country-made bombs were recovered, barely half a km from the police station, when a villager Chotamonu Hembram went to his paddy field in the morning and found two bombs lying in his field, Deputy SP A K Srivastav told newsmen.

Hembram informed the matter to the police, who sought the help of bomb disposal squad, he said adding that both the bombs were defused on arrival of the squad from Dumka. Srivastav said police suspected it was the handiwork of mischievous elements to implicate Hembram, who was not in good term with some of his relatives over a piece of land.
