CBSE to Begin Submission of Exam Form For Classes 10, 12 Private Candidates From Sept 12
Candidates who have been declared essential repeat in the result, compartment, and failed and wish to improve their performance in one or more subjects in CBSE exams can apply for the tests

The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will begin the submission of examination forms for classes 10 and 12 private candidates from September 12. The exam for the private candidates will be held in the months of February, March, and April 2024, the board announced. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the forms on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in. The last date to apply is October 11 and with late fees, it is Oct 19.

Candidates who have been declared essential repeat in the result, compartment, and failed and wish to improve their performance in one or more subjects can apply for the exam.

The exam fee for five subjects is Rs 1500, and Rs 300 per subject for each extra subject. For compartment, additional and improvement exams, the fee is Rs 300. While the practical exam fee for each subject is Rs 100. Candidates who are unable to apply within the scheduled deadline may pay a late fee of Rs 2000 in addition to the fees prescribed by CBSE to apply for the exams.

CBSE has also informed us that the last date to submit the LOC (List of Candidates) for board exams 2024 is September 18 without any late fees. Schools with a fine can submit the CBSE LOC form by September 19. The CBSE board exams 2024 will be conducted from February 15. The board has asked all schools to determine the dates of their exams while keeping the aforementioned board exam schedule in mind.

The class 10 and class 12 board examinations will continue till April 10. That is, the board exams 2024 will go on for a period of 55 days. The full schedule will be released by CBSE likely in December. The education ministry has also announced that two board exams will be conducted from the new academic session, however, CBSE has yet to confirm the same. The board has also released the sample papers for the 10th and 12th exams next year.
