No strong evidence against Sanatan Sanstha, says BJP leader RK Singh
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday named Rudra Patil, a student of Sanatan Sanstha, as the main suspect in the killing of rationalist leader Govind Pansare.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Home Secretary RK Singh has justified why there is no ban on fringe group Sanatan Sanstha.

RK Singh said that in 2014, the Home Ministry under the previous UPA government concluded that there was no evidence against Sanatan Sanstha so they couldn't ban it.

"In 2014, the Home Ministry concluded that there is no material with him This proposal to ban Sanatan Sanstha was given to PK Pillai at that time Chidambaram had no material to show that this organization has committed this," Singh said.

CNN-IBN had accessed a letter written by previous NCP-Congress government in Maharashtra in 2011 to the Home Ministry recommending that Sanatan Sanstha be declared an unlawful organisation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday named Rudra Patil, a student of Sanatan Sanstha, as the main suspect in the killing of rationalist leader Govind Pansare.

The member of Sanatan Sanstha, which is under the scanner over the murders of rationalists MM Kalaburgi and Pansare, is there on the most wanted list of the NIA.

Meanwhile BJP ally Shiv Sena, in its mouthpiece Saamna said the real perpetrators behind Pansare's murder are not being caught and the Hindutva is being defamed instead.
